Support Offered
Individual/Family Therapy
Sometimes young people go through difficult things and need a space to talk about this. I can offer a regular space to meet, online or in person, to think about what you have been through and how I can help.
I offer session in person at my clinic in Liverpool, or online. I have lots of experience working with young people and I am happy to take it as slow as you need to. Take a look around my website to learn more about what I can help with, and get in touch if you would like to make a time to meet.
Cognitive assessment
Sometimes young people can find it hard to manage in school, and find learning hard. I can help them and their school to understand why they are finding learning hard, as well as identify things they are good at, and suggest ideas for how to make learning feel a bit easier to manage.
To do this I will speak to your adult, to school, and to you, to understand what you find easy and hard about learning. I will then meet with you for a whole morning or afternoon, where we will play games, puzzles, and answer questions, to understand how you learn best. I then put all this information together into a report for you, your adult, and your school, with suggestions for how to get the best out of you.
I am able to offer the assessment online, in person at my clinic, and depending on where you live I may be able to travel to your home or school. If you are interested in a cognitive assessment, ask your adult to get in touch.
Teaching/ Training/
Consultation
I can offer support with understanding mental health and well-being in young people for your organisation. This can be delivered in person or online, and I can travel to your organisation. I offer single sessions or packages, tailored to your organisations’ needs. Get in touch to arrange a time where we can discuss your hopes, and how I may be able to help.

Perhaps you are looking to gain a better understanding of your learning needs, and explore potential adjustments to improve your school experience, in which case you may wish to explore a Cognitive Assessment.

I feel scared to meet new people, how will you help?
It’s really good to know that you find this hard, and I am happy to take it slowly if it feels too much to meet me in one go. We don’t have to talk about difficult things straight away if you need some time to get to know me first. You should write down any questions you have or information you think is important for me to know and ask your adult to share this with me. I can also talk to your adult if this is easier, and I can send you any information about me that you want to know ahead of time. I’d also love to know what helps you feel more comfortable, and I’ll try my best to make the first meeting as close to comfortable as I can for you.
Frequently asked Questions
What areas do you cover?
I currently offer face to face sessions in Liverpool and I am based in the city centre. However I also offer appointments online that are open to anywhere, so if you are from out of area but would like to work with me, do get in touch to discuss this further. I can also discuss other spaces you may prefer to meet in with you so do get in touch.
How long are sessions?
Each type of session I offer is different. The first appointment (known as an assessment) can be up to 90 minutes, but this might be split up into some time with you and your adult, some time with just you, and some time with just your adult so that everyone gets a break. Therapy sessions typically last for around 50 minutes, but we can tailor this to fit you best. We can also talk about how often you would like our sessions to be when we meet for our first appointment. Cognitive assessments (this is where I look at how you learn) are around 3-4 hours in total but there will be breaks in between too.
Who will you talk to?
Our sessions are confidential, that means I don’t share what we talk about with anyone else. I know that it can sometimes be helpful to speak to the people around you to make a bigger difference to your world, and so when it is helpful to our work, I may ask permission from you to speak with your parents, school, or other adults who can help.
If you tell me something that makes me worried about you or someone else being in danger or getting hurt, I would have to involve other people to help make sure you or others are safe. I will always try my best to tell you I am going to do this before sharing it anywhere so we can plan how best to share this information.
If you have any questions about this, do ask me!
